Delegates arriving….lots of chanting “no HILLARY!” It was clear the people have had enough. The crowds continued to grow in numbers and in volume as they sent a message to the delegate. (more…)
We gathered again at City Hall where plenty of marchers wanted to be heard. Their voices came through loud and clear…..Bernie or bust! After the march to FDR park we gathered in huge numbers to hear Jill Stein deliver her speech and it was great. There’s no doubt the people are confused as to where to go during this campaign. What was very clear is that they are NOT voting for Hilary! The evening was cut short when torrential rains starting giving us all a nice bath after a very hot day. As everyone ran toward the subway protecting their equipment it was noticed that the huge stage and image projectors had been covered in plastic. There was going to be some great music, (more…)
Today more than 10,000 people lined the streets of Philly to protest for clean energy and responsible ways to take care of mother earth. It was a spectacle of great proportions as protestors took to the streets with their message. It was an honor to be part of this and then to take part in the Bernie Sanders march (with the ‘V’) rolling through the streets of Philly to chants and cheers as we headed to FDR park to meet those braves souls who walked the 3;5 miles to get there.
Certainly this stuff would not have been covered by the regular media, who continue to minimize the importance of our movements for change. The day ended with (more…)
The streets were filled with people who care about global warming as they carried their signs and marched from City Hall to Independence Mall. There were plenty to march….our guess about 15,000 to 50,000 in the streets. We’re betting the media didn’t cover it! (more…)
The people came together today in a couple different locations and began the conversation about why, what and how to fix a broken system. Plenty of folks joined together to plan and network. The room eventually filled and every room was occupied with strong willed, “we need change” people hoping for a better democracy. Lots of Bernie fans wondering why he isn’t running on the green ticket. Over all it was a good show. I hope it goes further and not just another talk session. We need action and a plan if we’re going to make (more…)
The revolution is looking pretty sparce so far. We’re hoping the masses are going to show up soon so we can remain hopeful there’ll be change! Otherwise Costa Rica is looking real good. The volunteers got together in the “Friends Church (Quakers) in whose parking lot we are occupying. Then it was a day of checking out the city and wow, what a great day we had touring around. Ended the day with frozen yogart and that was yummy. (more…)
The OTR gang left Pueblo on Tuesday and as of 8 am Thursday we are about 500 miles from Philly, making great time on our journey to the People’s Convention. Could it be any hotter? Our air conditioner is not working well. Needless to say it’s a wee bit warm in the back, so we’re all fighting over who’s going to drive! Plenty of laughs are being had as we make our way to the destination, it’s too hot to stop! There’s no generator so we’re hoping to get power at the final stop. Just gets better doesn’t it….but it doesn’t curb the laughter aboard the ‘V’.
This song was written by Janet a while ago. Jimi Smith has put it to music recently and we wanted to share it with all of you. Thank you JRS for making this happen!

The OTR RV will be heading out of Pueblo, CO on July 19th and heading to Philly for the People’s Revolution the DNC Convention. We are looking forward to the trip east where we hope to meet all our friends also attending these events. We encourage everyone who can to join us for this historic event.
The ‘V’ is ready!
What a beautiful trip as we drove through Pagosa Springs and visited the hot springs…wow. Came across an indigenous school and they all loved the RV. I interviewed teacher Belinda Garcia (teacher) about their school, then they interviewed me about OTR. We then drove to Durango where we occupied Walmarts parking lot until this morning before heading to Oscars for an amazing breakfast. The people are quite friendly here and the city is very clean. Later it’s off to Telluride, Montrose and Salida on our way back to Pueblo. (more…)
