We attended an immigration and deportation rally today in Bessemer Park. It was both moving and very eye opening. It was especially emotional to listen to people like Manuel Valenzuela who talked about his story to all those who came out to show their support for immigration reform. After serving in the Vietnam war (for America) Manuel then had to deal with immigration, risking deportation all while fighting to stay in the US. His speech will be uploaded shortly. Many of those present came to see the “V” afterward, where we took plenty of pictures. Everyone enjoyed hearing and were impressed with what we had been & are doing Nationally, but most of all what we’re bringing to Pueblo east side for the kids. And just like yesterday, we met many who offered to bring their talents & skill to help us finish the stone house, so we could fill the streets with Music & Art very soon.
