A dear friend from San Antonio, has followed OTR for some time but we weren’t able to connect on the trip to N.Y. Happy to report we finally got to meet him in Austin today along with Lacey & Freddie who he brought with him. We thoroughly enjoyed exchanging stories with you. It certainly makes us feel good that you appreciate everything we’re doing for Occupy. You are doing the same in your State. We need more of us out there making sure the masses are being educated. Occupy Houston, TX

No matter the size of the occupation we’re amazed at the tenacity of the few who do occupy. This was the case with our last minute visit to Houston. Our change to visit Houston instead of Dallas was good since Dallas was hit with hurricanes the day we drove. We arrived in Houston to catch a couple occupiers who had just finished up a rally and petition to the Mayor against making it illegal to feed the homeless. We found Delbert Jackson, Shere Dore, Jamin Stocker and Tyler Gleason who gave us some really great video of stuff happening there. (more…)

Occupy Baton Rouge

We arrived in Baton Rouge but hadn’t heard from anyone within the occupy movement except for one person who had another engagement and couldn’t meet with us. as dusk came. It was one of those days where we had to try 3 credit cards before we could find one that had room for gas, debit card expired while on the road so it didn’t work. Got to the bank 12 minutes after it closed. That left us having to stick around til morning when the credit union reopened.  (more…)
