Just leaving Blanca CO, and finally able to get WiFi after 2 days! Good thing because we were having withdrawal attacks. We did get to the see the property and are now analyzing our needs to see if this will work for our ‘off the grid’ project. We have some homework to do and need internet to do it, so we’re heading to Pueblo on route to Denver.

In the evening I attended a meeting for sustainable earth who were doing an event for the movie Thrive. I missed the meeting because we had people aboard the “V” until 7:30 but managed to catch two people who hadn’t left yet. The gentleman gave me some information regarding a few websites to visit that pertained to sustained living and how we (as people) can remove ourselves from being slaves to Congress. He said they should be slaves to us since they take the oath to uphold our best interests. Appears there is a way to take back your sovereignty. I will read up and tell the story soon.

Driving toward Alamos….Pitstop @ The Earthships – the epitome of sustainable design and construction. No part of sustainable living has been ignored in this ingenious building.” This one is New Mexico.. Earthships can be built in any part of the world, in any climate and still provide electricity, potable water, contained sewage treatment and sustainable food production.

Arrived in Taos and before we could put the “V” in park Thomas Valerio was checking us out. He approached out of curiosity and Tino immediately gave him some insight as to what we were all about. Next thing you know we’re following him to one of the oldest churches in the U.S. built in 1710. Turns out Thomas is an activist and so is his son who lives in ABQ.
After leaving Thomas we met with David Cortez and Steve (Clark’s friend) who gave us some background on Occupy Taos and the city itself. We met a couple more people while sitting in the parking lot behind the Plaza. The “V” was definitely causing heads to turn and interest to peak. Some pulled out camera’s to take pictures and some we educated on who Bradley Manning is.
